Quick overview

  • Multi-Round competitions run through 2–5 rounds.

  • Each round can have its own metric, rule (Goal or Top X) and time period.

  • Participants move to the next round by hitting the goal, placing in the Top X, or using a lifeline (if you allow them).

  • You can crown one final winner or reward everyone who reaches the last round.

How many rounds can I include?

  • You can add 2 to 5 rounds in a single Multi-Round competition.

  • Each round has its own start/end time, metric and qualification rule.

What are lifelines and how do they work?

Lifelines give participants a second chance to move to the next round even if they don’t qualify on performance.

  • If lifelines are enabled and a user doesn’t meet the requirement, one lifeline can move them forward.

  • Lifelines apply equally to everyone in the competition.

Allowed lifelines by number of rounds:

  • 2 rounds: No lifelines available

  • 3 rounds: 0 or 1 lifeline

  • 4 rounds: 0, 1, or 2 lifelines

  • 5 rounds: 0 to 3 lifelines

Important: If you add at least one lifeline, all users move to round 2 automatically, even if they didn’t qualify based on performance.

Where do users see their lifelines?

Participants see lifelines in the Standings & Prizes tab of the competition page:

  • ❤️ Red heart = 1 remaining lifeline

  • ❤️‍🔥 Red heart with a number = that many lifelines left

  • 🖤 Grey heart = no lifelines left

How do I set rounds and durations?

When you set the overall competition dates:

  • A popup lets you configure each round’s start and end time.

  • You can plan all rounds at once or adjust them later as needed.

Each round’s duration is independent, as long as it fits within the competition’s total time span.

What do “Goal” and “Top” mean?

These define how users qualify for the next round:

  • Goal: Participants must hit a target value, e.g.

    • “10 meetings booked”

    • “$50,000 closed won”

  • Top: Participants must be within the Top X on the leaderboard, e.g.

    • “Top 10 users”

    • “Top 3 teams”

You can mix and match: one round can be Goal-based, the next Top X.

Can each round use different metrics?

Yes. Every round can focus on a different metric, such as:

  • Round 1 – outreach (calls / emails)

  • Round 2 – meetings booked

  • Round 3 – revenue closed

This lets you design a funnel-style competition where each stage emphasizes a different behavior.

What happens if reports don’t upload in time?

If data sync is delayed and some users don’t qualify before a round ends:

  • Go to Standings & Prizes.

  • Choose the relevant round.

  • Click the ⚙️ icon and manually update who should advance.

Admins can always override the automatic qualifications.

Why do I only see some users in the animation?

The animation is limited to 10 participants at a time to keep it clear.

It always shows:

  • Roughly 60% above the qualifying line and 40% below

  • The user closest to the requirement line

  • You or your team, highlighted in teal

All others are grouped as “+X others” for a cleaner view.

What do the colors and symbols mean on the leaderboard?

Goal-based rounds

  • Green tick – Target met

  • Teal highlight – You or your team

  • Faded name – Hasn’t met the goal yet (current progress is still shown)

Top X rounds

  • No green tick (positions can change until the round ends)

  • You always see the current performance value and rank

How did someone move on if they didn’t qualify?

Participants can move to the next round in three ways:

  • They met the requirement (Goal or Top X)

  • They used a lifeline

  • An admin manually promoted them in Standings & Prizes

What if fewer people reach the final than available prizes?

Only participants who reach the final round are eligible for prizes.

  • If you set 5 prizes but only 3 participants reach the finale, only those 3 receive prizes.

  • If you’re using coins, unused coins are returned to your prize budget.

What if this doesn’t work?

  • The round results don’t match who advanced
Check Standings & Prizes and the ⚙️ settings for each round to see if lifelines or manual adjustments have moved extra users forward.

  • Lifelines didn’t behave as I expected
Confirm how many lifelines are allowed for your chosen number of rounds and remember that adding any lifelines automatically sends everyone to round 2.

  • The animation or leaderboard feels confusing
Use the detailed Standings & Prizes list instead of the animation to see the exact values, ranks, and qualification status for every participant.
