How do I complete a Lottery competition (spin the wheel) in SalesScreen?

You complete a Lottery competition by opening it from Competitions, then using the Spin button to draw a winner for each prize until all prizes have been assigned.

Prerequisites / who this applies to

  • The competition type is Lottery / Wheel of Fortune

  • The competition is active (has started, not already completed)

  • At least one participant has earned tickets/entries

  • You can access Competitions and open this competition

You do not have to be the person who created the competition – any Company Admin or Competition Admin with access can spin the wheel.

Step‑by‑step instructions

Step 1 – Open the Lottery competition

  1. In the left‑hand menu, click Competitions.

  2. In the list, select the Lottery competition you want to complete.

    • You’ll see the wheel in the middle and, on the right, the current prize and a Spin button.

Step 2 – Spin the wheel for the current prize

  1. Look at the prize card above the Spin button (for example “1st – 284 Coins”).
    This is the prize you are about to draw.

  2. Click Spin.

  3. A warning dialog appears, for example:
    ​“You are spinning the wheel on behalf of <owner name>. This action cannot be reverted.”

  4. Click Confirm to continue, or Cancel if you clicked Spin by mistake.

  5. After you confirm, the wheel spins and selects a winner.

  6. The winner and their prize are shown on the wheel and added to the winners list under the wheel.

  7. The draw event is played on connected TV screens and any feeds/screens configured for competition events.

Step 3 – Spin again for additional prizes (if any)

If the competition has more than one prize:

  1. After the first spin, the next prize moves into the prize card above Spin (for example “2nd – 144 Coins”, then “3rd – 72 Coins”).

  2. Repeat Step 2 for each remaining prize:

    • Check which prize is shown.

    • Click Spin → Confirm to draw the next winner.

  3. Continue until all prizes have been drawn and all winners appear in the winners list.

When there are no more prizes, the competition is fully completed.

What if this doesn’t work?

I can’t see the Spin button

  • Make sure you opened a Lottery competition (not another type).

  • Check that the competition has started and is not already completed.

  • Verify that you are logged in as a Company Admin or Competition Admin.

The warning dialog says I’m spinning on behalf of someone else

  • This is expected if you did not create the competition.

  • It simply confirms that you’re spinning the wheel on behalf of the competition owner; you can still proceed if you have admin rights.

The wheel spins, but nothing shows on TV screens
Confirm that:

  • The competition is assigned to at least one playlist.

  • An active screen is using that playlist.

  • Competition events are enabled in the playlist/screen settings.

No winner is selected when I click Spin

  • Refresh the page and try again.

  • Check that there is at least one eligible ticket/entry in the competition.

  • If it still fails, capture a screenshot and the time of the attempt and contact SalesScreen support.
