What are Mission Blueprints?

Mission Blueprints is a new feature that lets managers and admins publish predefined, ready-to-accept missions for their teams. Think of them as structured challenges that a manager defines upfront – daily, weekly, or monthly – so that reps can accept them in one click without having to create their own missions from scratch.

The goal is to encourage mission adoption, give managers a tool to align their team around current priorities, and create a shared culture of commitment and progress. Missions are an important tool that give reps the ability to shape how they want to work while still working towards overall team goals, and teams that adopt Missions see a 10% increase in target attainment versus those not using Missions.

How It Works

Creating a Blueprint

  • Only managers and company admins can create blueprints.

  • Creating a blueprint works exactly like creating a normal mission – the main difference is that the period is fixed to daily, weekly, or monthly (the most common cadences).

  • Blueprints can be scoped to teams, departments, or cohorts – but only up to the scope the manager has access to. A team manager can only create blueprints for their own team.

  • Company admins can create company-wide blueprints.

Discovering and Accepting a Blueprint (rep view)

  • When a rep opens the Missions section, manager-created blueprints appear at the top of the discovery/suggestions list, above the system-generated suggestions.

  • The rep accepts a blueprint in one click – no editing required. Either you take on the challenge as defined, or you create your own.

  • This top placement signals that manager-defined blueprints carry more weight and alignment than general AI suggestions.

Accepting mid-period

  • If a rep accepts a weekly blueprint mid-week (e.g., on a Wednesday), it starts from the current period (Monday to Friday) and will count activity data for the whole week – including days already passed.

Enabling / Disabling Blueprints

  • Managers can enable and disable blueprints depending on what the team should focus on at a given time (e.g., switch focus to pipeline building by enabling a pipeline blueprint and disabling others).

Social visibility

  • When multiple people are on the same blueprint, they will be able to see that others are on it – creating a subtle social nudge to participate.

Coins and rewards

  • Managers can boost missions (including those based on blueprints) regardless. A dedicated coins reward for accepting a blueprint was considered but held off for now; it may be revisited based on feedback.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is a Mission Blueprint?

A Blueprint is a predefined mission challenge created by a manager. It appears to your team as a ready-to-accept mission – one click and they're committed. It removes the guesswork for reps and lets you, as a manager, define what focus looks like for the week, month, or day.

Q: Who can create blueprints in our account?

Any manager or admin in SalesScreen can create blueprints – scoped to the teams or cohorts they manage.

Q: Can my reps change a blueprint after accepting it?

No. Blueprints are fixed by design. Reps either accept the challenge as defined, or create their own personal mission. This keeps the manager's intent intact.

Q: How do I target blueprints to specific groups (e.g., new hires vs. senior reps)?

Scope blueprints to specific cohorts or teams when creating them. For example, create an "easy starter" blueprint for your onboarding cohort and a "senior" blueprint for your experienced reps.

Q: Can I turn a blueprint on and off depending on what we're focusing on?

Yes. Blueprints can be enabled and disabled at any time. This is a great way to shift team focus – for example, switch to a pipeline-building blueprint at the start of a new quarter.

Q: What if someone accepts a weekly blueprint mid-week?

The mission starts immediately and covers the full week (Mon–Fri), counting any activity already recorded for those days. There's no penalty for joining late.

Q: Will reps see each other on the same blueprint?

Yes – when this is live, reps on the same blueprint will be able to see their peers on it too, creating a sense of shared accountability.
