How do I create a target period in SalesScreen?

You create target periods from Manage → Targets → Manage periods → Add, choose how often the periods repeat, set the date range, and then create them so you can assign targets inside those periods.

Prerequisites / who this applies to

  • You can open Manage → Targets

  • You have decided how often you want targets to repeat (for example weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, or custom)

Step 1 – Open Targets

  1. In SalesScreen, click Manage at the bottom left.

  2. In the menu that opens, click Targets under the Company section.

Step 2 – Go to Manage periods

At the top right of the Targets page, click Manage periods.

Note:
If this is your first time working with target periods, you may be taken straight into the setup flow.

Step 3 – Click Add

You are now on the Manage periods page.

  1. In the top‑right corner, click Add.

Step 4 – Choose your cycle

You will now see the “Get started with targets and periods” screen.

  1. Choose how often you want your targets to repeat:

    • Weekly

    • Monthly

    • Quarterly

    • Yearly

    • Custom

Example:

  • If you set monthly quotas, choose Monthly.

  • If you only care about a yearly budget, choose Yearly.

Step 5 – Set the date range

Next you define which dates you want to create periods for.

  1. In the From field, pick the start date.

  2. In the To field, pick the end date.

  3. SalesScreen will show a Preview of the periods it will create (for example September, October, November, December).

If you want to change the name of a period before saving:

  • Click on the title (for example “September 2024”),

  • Type your own name,

  • Click Save.

Step 6 – Create the periods

When the preview looks good:

  1. Click Create at the bottom of the page.

SalesScreen will now save all the periods you see in the preview.

What happens next

  • Your new periods are now available under Targets.

  • You can start setting targets for users, teams, departments, or company inside these periods.

  • Later, if you need more periods, you can return to Manage → Targets → Manage periods → Add and repeat the same steps.
