Step 1 – Choose competition type

  1. Go to Competitions → + New competition.

  2. In the left menu under Browse, pick a competition type, for example Standard.

Other available types (depending on plan and configuration) include:

Step 2 – Set time and what to compete on

2.1 When is it?

  1. Under Step 1: When is it?, set the start and end date and time for the competition.

2.2 What would you like to compete on?

Under Step 2, choose one of the following:

  1. Single metric

    • Straightforward competition on one metric (e.g., most quantity or highest value).

    • Select your metric (e.g., Closed Won value per user).

  2. Multiple metrics (Points)

    • Participants earn points from several metrics (up to 10).

    • Each metric gets a points value or percentage weight.

  3. Activity Flow

    • Use a predefined Activity Flow from your account (e.g., Meetings → Offers → Sales).

    • Choose if you want to compete by Percentage or Numeric completion.

  4. Scorecard

    • If you have a Scorecard enabled, you can base the competition on the overall scorecard result.

Step 3 – Participants, goals, prizes and advanced options

  1. Who is competing?

    • Under Step 3, choose:

      • Users (user vs user)

      • Teams (team vs team)

      • Custom Teams

  2. Would you like to set goals?

    • In Step 4, click Yes if you want to set individual or team goals.

    • Use the dropdown to define goal values for each participant.

  3. Choose your prizes and winners

    • In Step 5, click Select prizes.

    • Add prizes, set thresholds (if needed), and decide how coins are distributed.

  4. Review your advanced options (Step 6 – Set advanced options)
    Here you can configure:

    • Show Top X – limit how many participants appear on the leaderboard.

    • Privacy settings – choose what values to show:

      • Show everything

      • Show value only

      • Show progression only

    • Winner is declared when:

      • First to achieve the target, or

      • Best result at the end of the period.

    • Schedule winner announcement date – optionally pick a different date than the end date to announce winners and give prizes.

    • What should happen if a tie occurs?

      • Manually select the winner, or

      • Randomly select the winner.

Step 4 – Save, publish and notifications

  1. When everything is set, click either:

    • Save as draft – if you want to review later, or

    • Save and publish – to activate the competition.

  2. If you choose Save and publish, the Publish settings dialog appears:

    • Playlists – select which TV playlists should show the competition.

    • Feeds – select which feeds should get competition posts.

    • Show competition events – enable to show start/finish events on screens.

    • Optional email notifications:

      • Send an email when the competition starts

      • Send an email when the competition is halfway

      • Send an email when the competition is completed

For maximum engagement, it’s recommended to enable playlists, feeds, events and emails.

When you click Save and publish in this dialog, your competition goes live according to the start date/time you set.
