How do I create a Bracket competition in SalesScreen?

You create a Bracket competition from Competitions → + Create new → Bracket, choose who competes, select the metric, set rounds and prizes, then publish it to your TV playlists.

Plan
Pro and Enterprise

Prerequisites

  • Competitions are enabled for your company

  • You know which users/teams and metric the Bracket should use

Open the Bracket competition wizard

  1. In the left‑hand menu, click Competitions.

  2. Click + Create new button (top right).

  3. Choose Bracket. (left hand side).

Step 1 – Choose participants

On the Participants step, select the participant type:

  • User vs User – individuals compete head‑to‑head

  • Team vs Team – existing teams compete

  • Custom Team vs Custom Team – create temporary cross‑team groups (e.g. mixed teams just for this competition)

Tips:

  • Use team/department filters so you don’t have to search for each user one by one.

  • Make sure you add enough participants for the number of rounds you want (see troubleshooting).

Step 2 – Set title, metric, and description

On the next step:

  1. Title – shown on TV slides and in the app (for example Q3 Bracket Battle).

  2. Description (optional) – short context that appears on the competition slide.

  3. Compete on – choose the metric (e.g. Sales, Meetings, Calls).

Step 3 – Configure rounds and dates

  1. Under Rounds, choose how many rounds you want: minimum 2, maximum 4:

    • Preliminary round

    • Quarterfinals

    • Semifinals

    • Final

  2. Set the dates for each round.

    • Start with the Preliminary round.

    • Click Continue to set Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Final.

  3. You can use the suggested durations or set your own timeframe for each round.

Remember: each round must end before the next one begins.

Step 4 – Add prizes (optional)

On the Prizes step (optional):

  1. Click + Add prize.

  2. Choose Custom or Coins.

  3. Enter a name and description.

  4. Click + Save.

To define prizes for multiple placements (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th):

  • Click Other and add prizes for each placement as needed.

Step 5 – Finish and publish

On the Finish step:

  1. Choose Publish immediately or Save as draft.

  2. If publishing immediately, select which playlist(s) should show the competition.

  3. Toggle Show competition events on or off (to control if individual events appear in feeds/screens).

  4. Click Save and publish (or Save as draft if you’re not ready to go live).

What if this doesn’t work?

Bracket option is greyed out or missing

  • Check that your plan includes Bracket competitions (Pro or Enterprise).

  • Confirm you have Admin or Manager rights with permission to create competitions; contact support if it still doesn’t appear.

I can’t select more than X rounds

  • The maximum number of rounds depends on how many participants you’ve added.

  • Add more users/teams/custom teams to unlock additional rounds.

Round dates won’t save

  • Make sure round dates don’t overlap. Each round must start after the previous one ends.

The competition doesn’t appear on TV screens

  • Confirm that the competition is published, not saved as a draft.

  • Check that it is assigned to at least one playlist, and that the playlist is used on an active screen.

  • If needed, re‑open the competition, go to Finish, select the playlist(s) again, and Save and publish.
