Note: You need admin privileges in both SalesScreen and Dynamics 365 to use this approach.
The manual method is also the default synchronization method. You explicitly create user accounts in SalesScreen and map them to the corresponding Dynamics user accounts. Keep in mind that these steps must be repeated each time you want to synchronize a Dynamics user with SalesScreen.
Step 1 – Make sure automatic sync is disabled (optional but recommended)
Follow this step if you want to always control exactly which Dynamics users are synchronized. If you already know that automatic sync is disabled, you can skip to Step 2.
In SalesScreen, go to Manage > Settings.
In Settings, select Integrations, then click Manage on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online integration.
In the Dynamics integration dashboard, make sure Automatically sync users is disabled.
If automatic sync is enabled, users may be synchronized automatically, which removes some of your manual control.
Step 2 – Find the Dynamics user ID
Sign in to Dynamics 365.
Navigate to Settings > Security.
Click Users.
In the Users view, choose Export to Excel > Open in Excel Online.
An Excel sheet listing all users opens.
Right‑click one of the column headers (for example, column D) and choose Unhide Columns.
Columns A, B, and C (previously hidden) are now visible. Column A contains the unique User ID for each user.
Find and note the User ID value for each user you want to synchronize to SalesScreen. You will need this in Step 4.
Step 3 – Create a new SalesScreen user (if needed)
Only perform this step if the user does not already exist in SalesScreen.
A user’s Dynamics data will not appear in SalesScreen unless their SalesScreen user account exists and is placed on a Team.
Follow your internal instructions for creating a new user account in SalesScreen.
Once the SalesScreen user exists and belongs to a team, you are ready to map the accounts.
Step 4 – Map SalesScreen and Dynamics user accounts
Use the Dynamics User ID you collected in Step 2 to connect the two accounts.
Follow your internal guide on how to map a SalesScreen user to a Dynamics user. --- Link
After the mapping is saved, Dynamics activities for that Dynamics user will be attributed to the mapped SalesScreen user.
You can repeat Steps 2–4 for each user you want to synchronize.
