How do I set up Battles for my users as an Admin?

You create Battles for your users from Battles → New → Battle → Create for others, then pick the two opponents, choose the metric and time period, set visibility, and save.

Prerequisites

  • Battles are enabled for your company

  • The users you pick:

    • Have Battle Mode enabled in their profile

    • Have fewer than 3 ongoing Battles (max 3 at a time)


Step‑by‑step: Create a Battle for other users

Step 1 – Open Battles management

  1. In the left‑hand menu, click Battles.

  2. Click the + New Battle button.


Step 2 – Choose “Create for others”

  1. In the panel on the right, select Create for others.

  2. This lets you set up a Battle between two users.


Step 3 – Select the opponents

  1. Under Who is competing?, choose the two users who will battle each other.

  2. Make sure both are allowed to participate (Battle Mode on, not already in 3 active Battles).


Step 4 – Choose the metric

  1. Under What would you like to compete on?, click Select Metric.

  2. Pick the metric they will battle on (for example Sales, Premium, Meetings).


Step 5 – Set the time period

  1. In the When is it? section, define the start and end date/time.

  2. The Battle will automatically run for this period.


Step 6 – Configure visibility (optional)

  1. Choose whether the Battle is Public or Private:

    • Public – announced on Feed/TV like regular Battles.

    • Private – only visible to the two opponents (and admins).


Step 7 – Save and start

  1. Review opponents, metric, and dates.

  2. Click Save / Create Battle.

The Battle will start automatically at the scheduled start time. There is no acceptance step for participants when an admin creates the Battle.


Common questions / What if this doesn’t work?

Do opponents need to accept the Battle first?
No. For admin‑created Battles there is no accept step. The Battle starts automatically at the date/time you set.

I can’t find a user in the opponent dropdown
Two likely reasons:

  • The user has disabled Battles in their profile (Battle Mode off). They have fully opted out and cannot be added, even by an admin.

  • The user already has 3 active Battles, which is the maximum allowed at one time.

Will the Battle be announced?
Yes, unless you set it to Private. Public Battles are announced when they start (there’s no draft mode like Competitions).

The Battle never shows any progress
Check that:

  • Users are actually logging reports on the chosen metric during the Battle period.

  • The metric filters (product/team/activity) match what they are reporting.
