Why new forms?

The new create forms are a result of the Metric 2.0 release, which introduces combined formulas and formatting for metrics, simplifying their use across other platform elements. To accommodate this change, the create forms have been updated. Additionally, we've enhanced the functionality, offering a cleaner and more user-friendly experience. Admins can now benefit from real-time previews, making understanding what they are creating easier.

Achievement Create Form

Q. How have the existing achievements changed?

Achievements are now split into three groups:

  • Goal

  • High Score

  • Top Performer

Instead of choosing one of 12 different achievements spread over "scheduled" or "automatic," you can now tailor the achievement type to what you want without having to make a confusing decision upfront. You can find the previous achievements listed in the new groupings below:

Q. What is the difference between Goal, High Score, and Top Performer?

  • Goal: One must reach a defined threshold, whether that be a fixed value (10 meetings), target completion (50% of target), or the value you hit in the previous period.

    • E.g. Assume a metric for ‘Sum of Revenue’ was chosen:

      • A team surpasses a fixed value of $20,000 (a team must sell $20,000 within the specified period)

      • A company surpasses a previous period of a week (meaning the company total must beat their previous total from the week before)

      • A user surpassed a target completion of 200% (the user hits 2x their relative target within the period specified).

  • High Score: One must surpass a value that was previously set. As an admin, you do not have to input a specific number for the user to surpass, as it is a constantly changing threshold based on the most recent unlock. Currently, a user or team can set a high-score for the company individually or together.

    • E.g., A user surpasses the previous user's high score for the company. Or a team surpassing the previous high score set by another team for the company.

In the future, we plan to release functionality for a user setting a personal high score or a team high score.

  • Top Performer: Top performer achievements can be based on a metric or activity flow, and a user must either be in the top X number of performers in their team/company or achieve a specified hit-rate threshold.

    • For example, if a user is within the top 3 performers in their company or if a user hits a minimum hit rate of 50%,

Q. When creating a Goal achievement, what is meant by target completion?

Target completion refers to a percentage or your set target adjusted for the achievement period. For example, if you created an achievement that can be unlocked weekly and a user has a target of $40,000 ARR for a month, the adjusted target for a week would be $10,000.

  • 100% target completion would require the user to sell $10,000 to unlock it.

  • 150% target completion would require the user to sell $15,000 to unlock it.

Q. How can I customize when Top Performer achievements are repeated?

A Top Performer achievement chosen over a period of a Day, Week, or Month will be repeated indefinitely. However, if the period chosen is ‘Custom’, then the user can configure if they want to repeat the achievement and for how long it should repeat.
