Overview

The Insights feature in SalesScreen helps users stay informed on their own performance by automatically surfacing relevant updates, summaries, and action items. Rather than digging through reports or waiting for feedback, users get curated, contextual updates to improve performance and accountability.

How to Use It

Where to Find Insights

For User Insights:

  • Navigate to your Player Profile on web.

  • Click on the "Insights" tab to view your performance updates.

For Team Insights

  • Click on or use the search bar to find a team

  • Click on the "Insights" tab to see team performance data and Scout's Suggestions

What You’ll See

  • Weekly or Monthly performance summaries

  • Mid-week or Mid-month trend updates

  • Endorsement summaries (quarterly)

Criteria to Generate Insights

  • Weekly/Monthly Summaries: Requires at least 2 weeks/months of data.

  • Mid-week/Mid-month Updates: Also requires 2 weeks/months of data.

  • Endorsement Summaries: At least 3 endorsements received in the last 3 months.

Note: If no Insight is available, it means there was not enough meaningful data to generate an update.

Why to Use It

  • Stay Informed: Get automatic updates on your performance without needing to pull reports.

  • Boost Accountability: Gain awareness of trends—good and bad—that help you self-correct or double down.

  • Save Time: Skip the manual digging; insights are ready when the data is.

  • Recognize Progress: Endorsement summaries help you see social proof and patterns in recognition.

When to Use It

  • Start of the Week/Month: To review how you performed in the prior period.

  • Mid-week/Month: To adjust your efforts before the period ends.

  • Quarterly: To reflect on social recognition and engagement.

You don’t need to do anything to trigger these—Insights will surface when your activity meets the criteria.

FAQs

User Insights

Q. What does it do?

This highlights how end users are performing on a weekly basis, based on their key metrics and any goals or targets they’ve set. It also informs them how they are performing amongst their team, and where they stand against the team average. This does not discuss any data for another user.

Q. How can I change what metrics it is comparing users on?

As previously mentioned, the insights pull data on the key metrics set for the team that person is in. Therefore, you can change what Key Metrics are important to a team by changing them in the Organisation, which will in turn change what metrics are being evaluated for each person.

Q. Who has access to Insight?

Normal users

  • A user will be able to see their own insight as long as this feature is enabled

Admins/Managers

  • Will be able to see their own insight as long as this feature is enabled

  • As an admin/manager of a user, you will be able to access the insights for users in the team(s) you manage.

Q. How does it work?

We run a series of scheduled functions on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. These functions analyse the most recent period of user data to generate performance summaries and comparisons against the previous period. The weekly summary is generated at the start of the week as defined by the company, reflecting on the prior week. Monthly reports are produced at the end of each month, while quarterly summaries are created at the end of each quarter.

Q. Where can I find it?

Insights are available on the player profile page (currently only on) web under the “Insights” tab.

Q. Why is there no Insight generated?

When you turn on Insights the system will not create insight for previous periods, but it will start creating them moving forward when the criteria defined below are met. To give an example, the weekly performance update runs at the start of the week (the day depends on the “start of week” configuration for the account), so for most companies this is Monday.

This is due to be fixed for the September release where we report insights retrospectively, so a user can view the most recent insight they could have received.

Q. What does the ‘new’ button do in the super admin view on the insights page?

This button it only visible from the super admin view and what initially implemented by engineering for testing purposes, so they can quickly update the insights for a user to see how new prompts work. Therefore, there shouldn’t be a need for CS to use this button.

Team Insights

Q. What does it do?

This highlights how a team is performing on a weekly/monthly/quaterly basis, based on the teams key metrics and any targets they have set at a team level. It also informs managers/admins how any activity e.g. competitions taken place in the most recent period has leveraged any effect on their metrics. It can highlight key performers who have stood out, as well as individuals that may need some extra support.

Q. How can I change what metrics it is comparing users on?

As mentioned above, the insights pull data on the key metrics set for the team in question. Therefore, if you wish to have insights generated you can change what Key Metrics are important to a team by changing them in the Organisation, which will in turn change what metrics are being evaluated.

Q. Who has access to the Team Insights?

Normal users

  • Normal users will not be able to view the insights at a team level.

Admins/Managers

  • As an admin/manager of a team, you will be able to access the insights for the team you manage.

Q. How does it work?

Same as that for User Insights.

Q. Where can I find it?

Insights are available on the team profile page (currently only on) web under the “Insights” tab.
