How to create King of the Hill competition

King of the Hill is a time‑based competition where participants fight to stay at the top of the leaderboard. You choose who competes, which metric they battle on, and when it runs, with a live screen showing who’s currently on top.

How to set up a King of the Hill competition

  1. Start a new competition

    • Go to Competitions and click + New competition.

    • In the left menu, under Browse, select King of the Hill.

  2. Step 1 – Who is competing?

    • In Step 1: Who is competing?, choose Users, Teams, or Custom Teams.

    • Use the selector to pick the participants (e.g., “12 users selected”).

  3. Step 2 – What do they compete on?

    • In Step 2: What would you like to compete on?, choose Single metric.

    • Select the metric (e.g., Total Premium sold, Sales, Meetings).

    • If needed, click the metric to adjust filters such as product, team, or activity type.

  4. Step 3 & 4 – When is it, and what are the rules?

    • In Step 3: When is it?, set the start and end date/time, or use shortcuts like Today, This week, or This month.

    • In Step 4: Game Rules, click Set game rules and adjust options such as how points are calculated or tie‑break rules, then save.

  5. Step 5 – Prizes, name, and publish

    • In Step 5: Choose your prizes and winners, click Select prizes, choose how many winners there are (e.g., top 1, top 3), and assign rewards (coins, Reward Shop items, or custom prizes).

    • On the right, add a Title and optional Description, and pick a visual theme for screens.

    • Click Save as draft to finish later, or Save and publish to start the competition at the scheduled time.
