In SalesScreen, "department" are groups of teams. If you see a recurring trend where you want to display statistics for a subset of teams, departments could prove to be useful.
Example:
The company has 5 teams:
Barcelona
London
New York
Oslo
Singapore
The company is structured to three different departments: Retention department, Sales department and Service team. To display statistics for each of these regions as a whole, we can create each of them as a department in SalesScreen, and assign teams to them:
Retention department:
Barcelona
London
Sales department:
New York
Service team:
Oslo
Singapore
When this is set up, you can create widgets and slides to display the performance for each department:
How to Create a Department
1.) Choose Manage > Organization from the left side menu.
2.) Navigate to Departments. A popup will emerge asking for a Department Name. You can also upload an image here if you like. When you've added the desired information, hit the "Create" button on the popup.
How to Assign or Reassign Teams in a Department
Select the department you wish to adjust teams for from the list by clicking it. From there, you can add teams by clicking the "+Assign Teams" and edit or reassign the team within the department:
How to Edit a Department Name or Photo
To edit the name, click the Pencil Icon next to the Departments name you wish to edit. To edit the photo, click on the photo.
How to Delete a Department
Navigate to "Advanced" and click the Delete button. If there are team assigned to the department you will get a warning saying there has to be no teams assigned for you to delete the department.
Note: Deleting a Department will NOT delete any Teams inside of it. They will simply go back into the list of teams without departments!
