Background

The new player profile brings a host of additional features to the platform, enabling users to track and monitor their performance all in one place. Managers can also assess a user’s performance from a single area. The Player Profile is designed to keep the most important metrics, achievements, and milestones in one easily accessible dashboard for both managers and players.

FAQ

General

Q. What are the privacy settings on the profile?

Based on the existing privacy restrictions in the platform, we have mapped the privacy of the profile to those stated below. For reference, ‘key metrics’ refers to the Key Metrics tab, while ‘Gamification’ refers to the following pages: Achievements, Battles, Competitions, Endorsements, and Rewards. All users will be able to access the Game Stats tab for all users, unless ‘disable profile links’ is enabled.

If there are no privacy settings:

  • Gamification

    • Admins -> everyone

    • Users -> everyone

  • Key Metrics

    • Admins -> team or departments they manage

    • Users -> themselves

If profile links are disabled:

  • No access to any pages

If enhanced privacy:

  • Gamification

    • Admins -> team/departments they manage

    • Users -> themselves

  • Key Metrics

    • Admins -> team or departments they manage

    • Users -> themselves

Ongoing

Q. Why can’t I see the ‘Ongoing’ tab on other player profiles?

Only users themselves and managers/admins of that user can view the ongoing tab for another profile. Normal users cannot view the ‘Ongoing’ tab for anyone else.

Q. What is the purpose of this page?

It is to draw attention to all the elements happening right now. This is where you'll find ongoing tasks from coaching sessions, your feed, key metrics, favorite rewards, and more.

Q. Why can I only see some upcoming coaching sessions?

We only show coaching sessions taking place in the upcoming 30 days. If you wish to see more, you can click on the coaching tab.

Q. Why can I only see some upcoming tasks?

We only show uncompleted tasks that are overdue or due in the upcoming 30 days. If you wish to see more, you can click on the tasks page in the coaching tab.

Q. Whose actions are these?

The actions you see on your profile are your own. When visiting another user, the actions on their Ongoing page will be their actions only, not actions you must take for that user.

Q. Whose Key Metrics are these?

The key metrics you view on your profile are your own. When visiting another user, the Key Metrics that show are for that user.

Game Stats

Key Metrics

Q. How do I compare my key performance metrics against another user?

You can only compare two user’s Key Metrics if they are within the same team, hence, they share the same KPI’s set my their manager.

You can compare your key performance metrics to another user in your team by using the "comparison" selector at the top of the page. If you can view the Key Metrics for another person in your team (e.g., by visiting their profile), you can select this user for comparison.

While viewing another user’s Key Metrics page, you can either compare their data to yours (if they are on your team) or to another user (who is on their team) whose data you can access.

Q. What is the difference between the left and right sections on the widget?

The left side of the widget shows the user’s performance for that metric, while the right side automatically compares the user to their team unless a specific individual has been selected for comparison.

Q. Why can’t I see any/all KPI’s?

If you do not currently have targets set on a specific metric, you will not be able to view it here on the Key Metric page.

Competitions

Q. Why can’t you see the current position of a user for an ongoing competition from the timeline view?

Unfortunately, we are not able to pull in the user's position while the competition is ongoing, and therefore, you must click on the competition, which will redirect you to the details page.

Q. What does ‘prizes won’ mean?

‘Prizes Won’ is the sum of all the prizes a user has won in the competitions they have competed in. A user may have more prizes won than the number of competitions participated in as they may have won multiple prizes via Gift Swap, for example.

Q. Why can’t you see all competitions a user has competed in?

If a user joins a new team after participating in a team competition, their past competitions with the previous team will no longer appear on their timeline. This is because team competitions track performance using team IDs, not individual user IDs, making it impossible to retain that information.

Q. Why can’t I see the position or points for another user on any competitions?

If you do not have access to the data for that specific user, you will not be able to see the position or points that the user achieved within the competition; you can only see that they participated in it.

Battles

Q. What is the battle rating?

A user’s position and rating amongst the whole company.

Q. How can I see who initiated the battle?

Currently, we do not display who initiated the battle on the widget, however, if you click on the individual battle it will take you to the battle detail page and provide you with this information.

Achievements

Q. What are the new badges/rings on the ‘all unlocks’ section?

These indicate different levels one has accomplished if they unlock an achievement multiple times. There are three levels of rings indicated by the number of jewels: 1 gem, 2 gems and 3 gems for levels 1, 2, and 3, respectively.

Level 1 (One Gem): 5 unlocks

Level 2 (Two Gems): 10 unlocks

Level 3 (3 Gems): 20 unlocks

Q. What is the difference between the progress page and the global achievements page for a regular user?

Aside from the exciting new graphics and displays, the main difference is that it now highlights the time left before your current streak expires. This page is designed to be personalized for you, which is why it belongs on your profile. Heads up: the progress section on the global achievements page will soon be phased out.

Endorsements

Q. How is the Top Endorser determined?

A users Top Endorser is chosen based on who has given that user the most number of endorsements. If there are two people who have given the same number of endorsements, it will then be determined by who has given the most number of coins. If this still remains even, it will be randomly selected.

Rewards

Q. How are ‘total earned’ coins calculated?

You can determine the total number of coins earned by clicking the "My Earnings" link in the top right corner of the rewards page on your profile. However, this link is not visible when viewing another user's profile.

Coaching

Q. Why can’t I see the coaching tab in another user’s profile?

If you are not the user yourself, an admin with access, a coaching admin, or the user’s manager, you will not be able to visit their coaching tab.

Q. I have access to the coaching tab of a user but can’t see all their sessions?

If you are the user’s manager, you can view all coaching sessions that the user has been a part of. If you are a coach admin or admin with access to this user, you will only be able to view the coaching sessions where you are the coach or part of the coaching program.

Q. What is the lock icon on the right side of the coaching session widget?

The lock icon signifies that the coaching session was private, and therefore, only the participant and coach can view the tasks and notes from that session.

Scorecards

Q. Why can’t I see the scorecard tab in another user’s profile?

If you are not the user yourself, an admin with access, or the user’s manager, you will not be able to visit their scorecard tab.

Q. What does the new graph tell me?

The line graph provides a clear overview of your performance throughout the time you've had this scorecard. If your scorecard metrics have changed, the trend will restart from the change date, as previous scores will no longer be consistent.

Q. Why can’t I view both the Primary and Secondary scorecards on one graph?

Unfortunately, we cannot display both the Primary and Secondary scorecard trends on one graph, as the set period for each objective may vary.
