Before you start setting targets, make sure your metric is configured and ready to receive a target.
You can find a guide to setting up metrics here:
One‑sentence answer:
Go to either a user’s profile or Manage → Targets, then edit target values directly or use Upload from Excel or Bulk edit to update many targets at once.
Prerequisites:
You need to be an Admin, or a Manager for at least one team. The metric must already be configured to receive targets under Targets settings on Key Metrics.
Step‑by‑step instructions
Set targets from a user profile
Use this when you want to set or change targets for a single user.
Go to the user’s Profile.
Click the plus (+) icon and choose Set target.
Click the current target value (or empty field) for the metric and timeframe you want to change.
Enter the new target.
Click Save.
Set targets from the Targets overview
Use this when you want to see and manage many targets at once.
Go to Manage → Targets.
Click the target you want to edit (for the right metric and timeframe).
What you see next depends on Target Settings for that metric:
Only user targets configured: You’ll see a list of all users you have access to. Click a value to change it, then Save.
Multiple levels configured (company, department, team, user):
You first see the highest level (for example, company).
Click a number to change the value at that level.
To drill down (company → department → team → user), click the name of the company/department/team you want to open, then edit the targets as needed.
Set targets via Excel upload (from the Targets overview)
Use this when you want to create or update many targets at once.
Go to Manage → Targets.
Find the key metric you want to update.
Click the three dots (⋯) next to that metric.
Select Upload from Excel.
Choose:
The timeframe you want to upload targets for.
The level you want to set targets on (company, department, team, or user).
Download the Excel template.
Fill out the template with the target values you want.
Upload the completed file.
Confirm the upload.
SalesScreen applies the targets according to the levels and periods you selected.
Bulk edits (without Excel)
You can bulk edit targets directly in the Targets overview.
Bulk edit several users
In Manage → Targets, click Bulk edit targets.
Enter the target value you want to apply.
Select the periods where this target should apply.
Confirm / Save.
Bulk edit one user, team, department, or company
Find the relevant user, team, department, or company in the Targets overview.
Click the three dots (⋯) next to its name.
Choose Set [user/team/department/company] target.
Enter the target value.
Select the periods where the target should apply.
Confirm / Save.
What if this doesn’t work?
Problem: I can’t see the metric in Targets.
Solution: Check that the metric is set up to receive targets under Organization → Key Metrics → Targets settings on Key Metrics. Metrics without targets enabled won’t appear in the Targets overview.
Problem: I don’t have access to edit targets.
Solution: Make sure you are logged in as an Admin, or as a Manager for at least one team. If not, ask an Admin to update your access or set the targets for you. You can also get help in support, but we need a confirmation from an admin.
Problem: I only see user‑level targets, not teams/departments/company.
Solution: Open Target settings for the metric and confirm that the relevant levels (company, department, team) are enabled. If only user level is turned on, you will only see and edit user targets.
Problem: My Excel upload fails or doesn’t change any targets.
Solution:
Check that you downloaded the template from the correct metric and timeframe.
Make sure all users/teams in the file exist in SalesScreen and are spelled exactly the same as in SalesScreen.
Confirm that you selected the same level and timeframe in the upload dialog as the ones used in the file.
Problem: Bulk edit didn’t update all the targets I expected.
Solution:
Verify that you selected the correct periods in the bulk edit flow.
Check that you edited targets at the correct level (for example, user vs team). Targets set manually at one level don’t overwrite targets you’ve set at another level.
