How do I create a team‑specific feed?

Create a custom feed so a specific team (or set of teams) only sees the posts that are relevant to them.

Prerequisites / who this applies to

  • You can access the Feed on the web app

  • You have permission to create and edit feeds

Step 1 – Open the feed settings

  1. Go to the Home / Feed page.

  2. In the top‑right corner of the feed, click More actions (…).

  3. Click Create new.

Step 2 – Name your feed and pick teams

  1. On the Create new feed page, enter a Feed title and (optional) Description.

  2. Under Teams:

    • Use Available teams to find the teams you want (for example Berlin, London, New York).

    • Click the + icon (or Add all) to move them into Selected teams.

Everyone in the Selected teams will see this feed.

Step 3 – Choose what content appears in the feed

  1. Scroll down to Sources.

  2. For each source you want in this feed, make sure the toggle is On, for example:

    • Achievements

    • Battle

    • Endorsement

    • Birthday / Work Anniversary / New Employee

    • Rewards

    • Mission

  3. (Optional) For any source, click Set custom team filter if you want the source to use different teams than the main Selected teams.

  4. At the bottom, you can also add:

    • Metric rules – choose a metric, notification type and threshold.

    • Activity rules – choose Activity Type, Activities, notification type, threshold and measurement.
These rules define which metric/activity events will create posts in this feed.

Step 4 – Create the feed

  1. Review your Teams and Sources.

  2. Click Create in the bottom‑right corner.

Your new team‑specific feed is now created.

What happens next

  • Users in the Selected teams will see this feed option in the Feed selector (for example London feed, Service feed).

  • Only content from the sources and rules you turned on will appear in this feed.

  • You can come back later to edit teams, sources, thresholds or to disable the feed.

What if this doesn’t work?

I don’t see the “Create new” option under More actions
You may not have permission to manage feeds. Ask a Company Admin or your account admin to create the feed for you or to update your access.

Users don’t see the new feed in their dropdown
Double‑check that their team is listed under Selected teams for the feed. If not, add the team and save.

The feed is empty / no posts are showing
Check that you have:

  • Turned on at least one Source (Achievements, Rewards, etc.), and

  • Not set filters so narrow that nothing qualifies (for example very high metric thresholds).
Also verify that the selected teams actually have recent activity for those sources.

Too much content appears in the feed
Use Set custom team filter on noisy sources or tighten metric/activity thresholds so only important events create posts.
