Step 1 – Open the competition types
Open the Create competition window.
You will see different competition types like:
Standard
Prize Ladder
Lottery
Bracket
Lucky
Gift Swap
King of the Hill
Some of these types can use targets.
Step 2 – Choose a competition that uses targets
For a simple target competition, choose Standard.
(Prize Ladder and some other types can also use targets, but we focus on Standard here.)
Now you are inside the Standard competition wizard with steps on the left:
Step 1 – When is it?
Step 2 – What would you like to compete on?
Step 3 – Who is competing?
Step 4 – Would you like to set goals?
Step 5 – Choose your prizes and winners
Step 6 – Review your advanced options
Step 3 – Turn on goals (targets)
Scroll down to Step 4 – Would you like to set goals?
Click Yes.
A line appears under it (for example “46 goals set” or similar).
Click that line to open the Goals window.
This is where you decide what target each person should have.
Step 4 – Choose type of target
In the Goals window you see a list of all participants.
At the top‑right you can click Edit selected and choose between:
Use predefined targets – use the targets already set in SalesScreen (from the Targets module).
Custom – write a special custom target for this competition.
If you pick Use predefined targets:
SalesScreen will use each person’s normal target as the goal in this competition.
If you pick Custom:
Type the number you want as the target.
Click Set for X selected to apply it for all selected users.
Click Save when you are done.
Step 5 – Finish the competition setup
After you have set the goals:
Go back through the remaining steps:
Check who is competing (users or teams).
Choose prizes and winners.
Check advanced options (notifications, announcements, etc.).
Give the competition a clear Title and Description on the right side.
Click Save and publish when everything looks good.
If you want the full, general guide for competitions, you can follow the rest of the steps in your normal competition creation article.
What happens next
The competition will start at the time you chose.
Each user’s progress bar in the competition will show how close they are to their target (in %).
When the competition ends, winners are chosen based on who reached the highest percent of their target.
