How do I integrate with Seismic?

Set up the integration from SalesScreen's user interface in no time and celebrate events on TV-screens, dashboards and feed!

You can connect Seismic to SalesScreen so activity from Seismic is shown and celebrated in SalesScreen (on TVs, dashboards and feed).
The integration is read‑only: SalesScreen only reads data from Seismic and never changes anything in Seismic.
SalesScreen checks Seismic for new or updated data about every 5 minutes.

Supported Seismic entities:

  • Content Usage History

  • Content View History

  • User Activity

  • Content Reviews

  • Generated Livedocs


Prerequisites

You need:

  • An active SalesScreen subscription

  • An active Seismic subscription

  • Admin privileges in SalesScreen (you must see the Manage button)

  • A Seismic admin user to approve access


How does it work?

  1. You turn on the integration in SalesScreen.

  2. Seismic asks you to allow SalesScreen to read data.

  3. You (optionally) import or map Seismic users to SalesScreen users.

  4. You use workflows in SalesScreen to decide which Seismic data to bring in and how often.

  5. SalesScreen reads Seismic every 5 minutes and shows the activity inside SalesScreen.


Step 1 – Open Seismic integrations in SalesScreen

  1. Sign in to SalesScreen with an admin user.
    You must see the Manage button at the bottom left. If you don’t, you’re not an admin.

  2. Go to Company Settings.
    Click Manage at the bottom left, then click Settings in the menu.

  3. Open the Integrations page.
    In Settings, click Integrations.

  4. Find Seismic and start the setup.
    Find Seismic in the list (use search if needed) and click Integrate.


Step 2 – Authorize SalesScreen in Seismic

  1. Enter your Seismic Tenant ID.
    On the Seismic integration page, type your Tenant ID into the Tenant ID field.
    You can find your Tenant ID in the URL when you are signed in to Seismic.

  2. Click Authorize Integration.
    Click Authorize Integration to start the connection.

  3. Sign in to Seismic and approve access.

    • If you are not already signed in, you’ll be taken to Seismic’s sign‑in page.

    • Sign in with a Seismic administrator user.

    • Seismic will show what access SalesScreen is asking for. Confirm to allow access.

    • You are then sent back to SalesScreen and the integration is authorized.


Step 3 – (Optional) Import or map Seismic users

After authorization, you’ll see a list of your current Seismic users.

You can:

A. Import Seismic users into SalesScreen

  • Check the box next to each Seismic user you want to create in SalesScreen.

  • Click Add Users.

  • SalesScreen will create user accounts and automatically connect them to their Seismic users.

B. Map existing SalesScreen users to Seismic users

  • Click Map Existing next to a user.

  • SalesScreen will try to match the Seismic user to an existing SalesScreen user with the same email or name.

  • Confirm the mapping.

Important:
For Seismic activities to be credited correctly:

  • Each SalesScreen user must be mapped to their matching Seismic user, and

  • They must belong to a SalesScreen team.
    (Imported users are automatically placed on a default team.)

You can manage user import and mapping at any time from:

Manage > Settings > Integrations > Manage Seismic > Settings > Import Users


Step 4 – Set up and manage workflows

If you import users or click Continue to workflows, you’ll be taken to the workflows dashboard.
This is the main place where you control which Seismic data is synced to SalesScreen.

What is a workflow?

A workflow tells SalesScreen:

  • Which Seismic entity to read (for example, User Activity or Content View History)

  • Which SalesScreen Activity Type to use

  • How often to sync (for example, every 5 minutes)

SalesScreen will retrieve records every 5 minutes, if new records exist.

Example workflow

  • Sync Seismic User Activities

  • Store them under the User Activities activity type in SalesScreen

  • Use the Seismic action (for example “Live send” or “View”) as the activity name

  • Credit the activity to the Seismic user who owns it

  • Use the Seismic occurred at time as the activity time in SalesScreen

What you can do on the workflow dashboard

From this page you can:

  • Create new workflows

  • Edit existing workflows

  • Pause or resume workflows

  • Delete workflows

SalesScreen Support can help you configure workflows based on the Seismic data you want to sync.

You can open the workflows dashboard again by going to:

Manage > Settings > Integrations > Manage Seismic

(or by using the direct Seismic workflows link


Terminate the integration

If you want to completely stop the Seismic integration:

  1. Go to - Link

    Manage > Settings > Integrations > Manage Seismic > Settings > Terminate Integration

  2. Confirm that you want to terminate.

What happens when you terminate

  • All Seismic workflows are deleted.

  • SalesScreen will no longer be authorized to access your Seismic data.

  • No new Seismic events will appear in SalesScreen.
