Before you start setting targets, make sure your metric is configured and ready to receive a target.

You can find a guide to setting up metrics here:

Access required:

Admin, or Manager for at least one team.

Ways to set targets

You can start setting targets in three ways:

  1. From a user profile

  2. From the Targets overview

  3. From the Targets overview via Excel upload

1. Setting targets from a user profile

From a user’s profile, you’ll see all metrics where the user already has targets.

To add or change a target:

  1. Go to the user’s profile.

  2. Click the plus icon and choose “Set target”.

  3. Click the current target value (or empty field).

  4. Enter the new target.

  5. Click Save when you’re done.

2. Setting targets from the Targets overview

From the Targets overview, you’ll see all targets you have access to.

To edit a target:

  1. Go to Manage → Targets.

  2. Click the target you want to edit.

What you see next depends on how you’ve configured Target Settings:

  • Only user targets configured

You’ll see a list of all users you have access to.

  • Multiple levels configured (e.g. company, department, team, user)

You’ll first see the highest level. As with user targets, click the number to change the value.

To drill down to lower levels (e.g. from company → department → team → user), click the name of the team/department/company you want to open.

3. Setting targets via Excel upload (from the Targets overview)

If you want to set or update many targets at once, you can upload them from Excel.

  1. Go to Manage → Targets.

  2. Find the key metric you want to update.

  3. Click the three dots (⋯) next to that metric.

  4. Select “Upload from Excel”.

  5. Choose:

    • The timeframe you want to upload targets for.

    • The level you want to set targets on (e.g. company, department, team, user).

  6. Download the Excel template.

  7. Fill out the template with the targets you want.

  8. Upload the completed file.

The system will apply the targets according to the levels and periods you specified.

Bulk edits

You can bulk edit targets in two main ways (without Excel):

Bulk edit several users

  1. In the Targets overview, click Bulk edit targets.

  2. Enter the target value you want to apply.

  3. Select the periods where this target should apply.

  4. Confirm/save your changes.

Bulk edit targets for a single user/team/department/company

  1. Find the relevant user, team, department, or company.

  2. Click the three dots (⋯) next to its name.

  3. Choose “Set [user/team/department/company] target”.

  4. Enter the target value.

  5. Select the periods where the target should apply.

  6. Confirm/save your changes.
