How do I activate the SalesScreen TV app?

Connect a SalesScreen TV client to a specific screen in your company so it can display that screen’s content.

1. What does it mean to “activate” the TV app?

When you open the SalesScreen TV app for the first time, or go to tv.salesscreen.com, you need to link that TV client to one specific screen in your SalesScreen company.

  • Each TV client shows a unique 4‑digit code

  • The code is valid for 1 hour

  • Once the code is linked, the TV will display the playlist for that screen

Note: If you do not see a QR code on this page, the app needs to be updated to the latest version before you continue.

3. Access the Screens page in SalesScreen

  1. In SalesScreen, click “Screens” in the left-hand menu.

  2. This will open the overview of all TV screens in your company.


4. Step‑by‑step: Activate the TV app

Open the correct screen

  • On the Screens page, find the screen you want to connect to this TV.

  • Click the screen name – a side panel opens on the right.

Connect the screen

  • In the side panel, click Connect this screen.

  • If you only see a red Disconnect this screen button, click Disconnect first, then Connect this screen.

Enter the activation code from the TV

  • On the TV, open the SalesScreen TV app or go to tv.salesscreen.com.

  • Note the 4‑digit code shown on the TV.

  • Back in SalesScreen, enter this code in the side panel and click Activate.

Confirm that the TV is working

  • The TV should now start showing the slideshow for the screen you selected.

  • If nothing shows, the screen might not have any playlists connected (see troubleshooting below).


5. What if this doesn’t work?

“Could not connect to the screen”

This usually means:

  • The code was entered incorrectly, or

  • The code has expired (older than 1 hour)

What to do

  1. Check the 4‑digit code on the TV again and re‑enter it exactly as shown.

  2. If it still fails:

    • Restart the Chromebox or the device running the SalesScreen TV app.

    • Open the app again, use the new code that appears on the TV, and try once more.


“You don’t have any slides connected”

This means the TV is connected to a screen in SalesScreen, but that screen doesn’t have any content.

What to do

  1. In SalesScreen, go to Manage → Screens → Playlists.

  2. Find the correct screen and the playlist you want to show.

  3. Connect the playlist to that screen.

  4. After a short while, the TV should start displaying the slides from that playlist.


“Could not connect to the screen”
