How do I manage my profile settings?

Learn how to update your personal information, notifications, security, privacy, and celebration preferences

Your profile settings let you control your personal information, notifications, security, privacy, and celebration preferences in SalesScreen.

Before you start

Available on: All plans
Access required: Any SalesScreen user
Where to access: Click your profile picture (top-right corner) → Profile settings

Steps

1. Access your profile settings

  1. Click the settings icon (gear icon) in the top-right corner

  2. The Edit Profile page will open with five tabs: Profile, Celebrations, Privacy, Security, and Notifications

You'll see five tabs: Profile, Celebrations, Privacy, Security, and Notifications

2. Update your personal information (Profile tab)

The Profile tab contains your basic personal information:

  1. Update your First Name, Last Name, or Nickname

  2. Add or update your Birthday and Hire Date (these trigger team celebrations)

  3. Add your Phone Number (required for SMS two-factor authentication)

  4. Change your Language if different from your company's default

  5. Select your Appearance theme (Light, Dark, or System)

Click Save when you're done

3. Customize your celebrations (Celebrations tab)

The Celebrations tab controls how your achievements are displayed:

  1. Choose a celebration video from YouTube or select from provided backgrounds

  2. Set your Activity Type for custom celebrations

  3. Click Edit on your current celebration to change it

4. Manage privacy and email settings (Privacy tab)

The Privacy tab controls what's visible to others and which emails you receive:

  1. Reports: Toggle "Hide From Feed" or "Hide From Screen" to control where your reports appear

  2. Battles: Enable or disable Battle challenges

  3. Reward Shop: Subscribe to reward suggestion emails and reward request emails

  4. Other: Subscribe to achievement emails, insights emails, and endorsement emails

Click Save when you're done

5. Update security settings (Security tab)

The Security tab lets you manage your password, two-factor authentication, and active sessions:

  1. Password: Click Change Password to update your password

  2. Two-Factor Authentication: Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication to add extra security to your account

  3. Sessions: Click Sign out from all other sessions to log out from all devices except your current one

6. Configure notifications (Notifications tab)

The Notifications tab controls when and how you receive push notifications:

  1. Use the main Enable toggle to turn all notifications on or off

  2. Set Business hours to limit when you receive notifications (or choose "Always on")

  3. Toggle specific notification types: Feed messages, Feed comments, Feed likes, Achievements, Battles, and Competitions

Click Save changes when you're done

What if this doesn't work?

Problem: I can't upload a profile picture
Solution: Make sure your image file is in a supported format (JPG, PNG, GIF) and under 5 MB. Try a different image or compress your current one.

Problem: My birthday or hire date isn't triggering celebrations
Solution: Check with your admin that birthday and work anniversary celebrations are enabled in Feed settings. Also confirm the dates are saved correctly in your Profile tab.

Problem: I changed my language but the app is still in English
Solution: Refresh the page after changing your language. If the issue persists, your company may not have enabled multiple languages. Contact your admin.

Problem: Two-factor authentication option is missing
Solution: Two-factor authentication may not be enabled for your account. Contact your admin to enable this feature. You'll also need a verified phone number to use SMS codes.

Problem: I'm not receiving notification emails even though they're enabled
Solution: Check your email spam/junk folder. If emails still aren't arriving, verify your email address is correct in the Profile tab and ask your admin to check if email notifications are enabled at the account level.

Problem: I can't change my email address
Solution: Regular users cannot change their own email addresses. Contact your admin or manager to update your login email in the system.

Problem: My appearance theme won't change
Solution: After selecting Light, Dark, or System, refresh the page. If you selected "System," the theme will match your computer's system preferences.

Problem: The Save or Save changes button is grayed out
Solution: Make sure you've actually changed at least one field. The Save button only activates after you've made edits. If it's still grayed out, try refreshing the page and making your changes again.
